01 / Joining Oceanview

Come with a character.

02 / Life around here

A life between
the big moments.

The practical details give roleplay somewhere to go. Ownership, work and public service carry on beyond a single scene.

Civilian life / Ownership & work

Your car. Your company.
Your way home.

A car carries its mileage, wear and modifications. A shop needs stock, staff and customers. Companies bring banking, employees, inventory and fleets together.

Try mechanics, towing, deliveries or a player-run venue. You can build a character around everyday work, as well as everything that happens after it.

Public service / People & places

A uniform.
A local identity.

City streets, small towns and county roads have their own agencies. LSPD, Vinewood, Del Perro, Sandy Shores and Paleto Bay sit alongside LSCSO and BCSO.

Fire and rescue, transportation and Public Safety have distinct work of their own. Find the team that fits, then follow its current recruitment and training pathway.

The work has
a paper trail.

Oceanview develops its own tools, including OceanDesktop, OceanCAD and records systems. Character, vehicle and agency records give the work behind a scene a place to live.

SACOLE’s web academy keeps applications, classes, exams and qualifications with the character. JusticeLink and StateCivic connect the wider legal and civic world.

03 / Get into the details

THERE’S A LOT
UNDER THE HOOD.

A few of the systems you can build a character around. The player guide explains how to use them.

01Vehicles that keep their history

Fuel, appearance and modifications stay with your vehicle. Mileage, wear and surface dirt build over time. Physical keys, registration and insurance make ownership part of the roleplay.

02Player shops and working companies

Set up a shop, choose stock and prices, and hire staff. Wholesale deliveries keep shelves supplied. Company tools connect employees, banking, inventory, depots and fleets for work such as towing and vehicle services.

03Banking, cash and local government

Checking, savings, debit and credit sit alongside physical cash. Cash transport supplies shops, bank branches and ATMs. Local and state tax funds give government a role in the economy.

04Work outside the emergency services

Explore mechanics, towing, deliveries, food service and player-run businesses. Housing, fishing, hunting, crafting and mining give civilian characters other reasons to get out into the world.

05Venues with a job behind the bar

Player-run bars and clubs have stocked cellars, menus, opening hours and staff roles. Bartenders, DJs, bouncers and managers each have something to contribute to a night out.

06Training that belongs to your character

03 / Find your team

DIFFERENT BADGES.
ONE COMMUNITY.

Departments are our community teams. Agencies are who your character serves. Each keeps its own identity.

Join the County Law Enforcement or Municipal Police host department; its IC agencies do not need separate OOC applications. CLE direct hire welcomes members and newcomers . MP and SAPS review COLE applicants; SADOT has its own route. Explore each department

The world keeps a record

ROLEPLAY WITH
A HISTORY.

A look at the records behind the roleplay, across Oceanview. These are recorded totals, not players or units on duty.

Public court cases All time
—Unavailable
Filed charge counts All time
—Unavailable
New public cases Previous 30 complete UTC days
—Unavailable

Refreshes every 30 seconds. Court figures exclude today.

What these figures mean

Cases are public, unmerged JusticeLink dockets created before today (UTC), including open and closed matters. Charge counts add the filed counts attached to those cases; they are allegations, not convictions. Juvenile matters, warrant applications and matters with any live seal are excluded.

Agency figures use the case's stored tracking agency, which may differ from the agency that filed it. Unmatched agencies contribute only to the community totals. Fleet figures count registry records, including inactive and retired vehicles; they do not show availability or deployment.

Nonzero totals are rounded down to groups of five, shown with “+”. Values below five are withheld. No names, case details, individual records or operational locations are published. “Last known” means the source could not refresh; it expires after one hour.

Court window ends . Figures are sampled separately from the live player count.
