CLE / Direct hire

TWO COUNTIES.
ONE TEAM.

Serious about the work.
Connected to the people.

Professional, close-knit policing with room for friends, rural patrol and pursuit roleplay. Join the community team behind LSCSO and BCSO. Current members are preferred; newcomers can apply too.

Sign in with Discord. Places are limited; people review each application.

Your shift, with something behind it

Room to patrol.
A team to know.

BCSO's jurisdiction spans Blaine County. LSCSO's spans Los Santos County. Play both within CLE, patrol countywide and work alongside the municipal agencies.

Rural variety and pursuits are a big part of the appeal. CLE favors early intervention within policy and due regard, with judgment and cooperation at the centre of a scene.

Your assigned patrol car
Pick one car from the available motor pool. Take it home, keep personal gear in it and retain it until it is wrecked or retired. Models are not locked behind rank; an application does not promise a particular vehicle or transfer ownership.
Progression you can understand
Probationary → Deputy → Senior Deputy → Corporal (supervisor). Progression is supported, with limited places and no promised promotion or timetable.
Professional, with room to learn
Own an honest mistake, understand it and correct it. Supervisors need to be involved when civil or criminal consequences arise, or when the issue is not understood. Accountability and learning belong together.
Flexibility within the team
No rank-locked vehicle ladder and a flexible uniform approach. The emphasis is on sound roleplay and a connected, professional team.

A supported progression

Learn the work.
Build your place.

The pathway gives training and practical experience a place before you complete probation. Staff arrange each step; there is no promised duration or automatic qualification.

A direction to grow into

K9. Traffic.
SWAT. CID.

You can apply to a division after completing probation, when it has a free slot. Interest in a specialty is welcome in your application; it does not reserve a slot or guarantee admission.

01

K9

Develop a handler and canine partnership within the department’s K9 work.

02

Traffic

Focus on roads, traffic enforcement and the decisions that keep a stop proportionate.

03

SWAT

Build toward specialist tactical work with its own training and assignment requirements.

04

CID

Follow investigations through evidence, interviews and careful reporting.

What we look for

Good judgment.
Good company.

No real-world police credentials are required. We ask a few practical roleplay scenarios and look for honest, thoughtful answers.

Verified current members receive preference. Reviewers consider the quality of judgment, collaboration and fit; membership does not guarantee acceptance. Newcomer applications remain eligible.

Community fit
Look for specific motivation and room for other players in a scene.
Judgment
Look for calm communication, proportionate choices and pursuit discretion.
Integrity
Look for accurate reporting, evidence care, honest self-correction and knowing when legal consequences or an unclear mistake need supervisor attention.
Collaboration
Look for respect across agencies and a constructive response to feedback.
Practical fit
Consider the one-hour monthly minimum, realistic availability and willingness to learn; experience is optional. Places are limited; no promotion or specialty slot is promised.

Two reviews, with different purposes

New to Oceanview?
You can start here.

You may submit CLE direct hire after signing in with Discord, even before submitting a community application. Community membership is reviewed separately. CLE acceptance cannot grant or reverse community membership, Discord roles, in-character appointments or qualifications.

If you have a community application, we link its status for staff. Shared timezone, experience and character answers can be carried into your own application so you can review them instead of typing them again. Keep following both reviews on My applications.
